OUR HERITAGE Series
When I was asked to write a series of articles for our DRSA, it took me a while to choose the subject. Quite a few times, earlier, I was asked to conduct classes for the our children to make them aware of our culture and heritage. Soon I realized that for the younger generation the spiritual awareness should come from home. Once the fundamental is established in form of Faith- Sraddha- they will understand everything.
So, these essays are specifically meant for the young parents, who have the innate love for their heritage but due to lack of favorable circumstances are either unaware of or have forgotten the facts discussed in the following articles.
Had I not have the opportunity to come in close contact with the writings of one of the great Rishis of the modern times- Sri Anirban, I would have never ventured to take up this noble task of writing about the most difficult subject- The Vedas. I confess, I have no idea about this great Scripture. It is the Epoch making work of Sri Anirban, Veda-Mimansa, from which I draw everything regarding the Vedas.
If I can create enough interest in anyone to look for any original book by Sri Anirban, my efforts will be amply rewarded. At the conclusion, humbly do I ask for the blessings of Veda Mata and her savant son for all of us.
Sarve sukhino bhavantu
Sarve santu niramayah
Sarve bhadrani pashyantu
Ma kasyachit dukhyabhak bhabet.
Let all be happy
Let all be healthy
Let all see only good
Let no one suffer.
